Thomas James Everett est monté à bord du Titanic à Southampton en tant que passager de troisième classe (billet combiné numéro C.A. 6212 qui a coûté £ 15, 2s) avec son ami Frederick Blainey Shellard, également de Bristol pour qui il allait travailler en Amérique. Ils devaient voyager à Philadelphie mais leur réservation a été modifiée en raison des grèves de charbon. Leur destination était Troy, New York et il a donné sa profession en tant que craneman.

Thomas Everett et son ami Frederick Shellard ont péris dans le naufrage. Le corps de Thomas a ensuite été retrouvé le 23 avril 1912 par le navire câblier Mackay-Bennett et emmené à Halifax, en Nouvelle-Écosse, où il a été enterré au cimetière Fairview le 10 mai 1912.

Thomas James Everett boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger (combined ticket number C.A. 6212 which cost £15.2s) with his friend Frederick Blainey Shellard, also from Bristol for whom he was going to work in America. They were scheduled to travel to Philadelphia but their reservation was changed due to the coal strikes. Their destination was Troy, New York and he gave his occupation as craneman.

Thomas Everett and his friend Frederick Shellard perished in the sinking. Thomas' body was then found on April 23, 1912 by the cable ship Mackay-Bennett and taken to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he was buried in Fairview Cemetery on May 10, 1912.
